The work
Stop the water first, price it second
Emergency work is for when damage arrives all at once: ridge tiles off, a section of felt torn back, or water coming through a ceiling while it is still raining. We answer the phone seven days a week and come out to make the roof safe, which usually means sheeting the affected area and taking down anything loose that could fall.
Getting the roof watertight quickly stops the damage spreading into ceilings, insulation and electrics, which is where a delayed call gets expensive. Once the weather passes we inspect it properly and price the permanent repair, so the temporary fix is never left as the end of the story.
Where you are claiming on insurance we take photographs and give you a written report to send the insurer. You get a straight account of what is temporary and what still needs doing, and a written price for the permanent repair with nothing added later.

Pricing
What moves the price
Every roof is different, so the quote follows a look at yours rather than a figure over the phone. The roof, and the loft where the fault is a leak, both get checked before anything is priced.
The quote you get back is itemised: access, materials, labour and clearing the site. Where the job needs scaffold, that goes in the figure from the start, not added later. The points on the right are what make the biggest difference to where the price lands.
What we look at
- How much of the roof needs sheeting to stop the water
- Whether the roof can be reached safely without scaffold
- How much loose material has to be made safe
- The scope of the permanent repair once the roof has been inspected
